US court bans release of blueprints for 3D-printed guns

A federal judge has put a temporary restraining order preventing the Trump administration from allowing the distribution of blueprints of 3-D printed plastic guns.

On Monday, eight states filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration to block the settlement. They also sought the restraining order, arguing the 3D guns would be a safety risk.
